Daily cleaning must be thorough to prevent the build-up of contaminants. We recommend using soft microfibre cloths dampened with medical-grade disinfectant solutions that have a neutral pH and are compatible with bi-elastic Skai upholstery and polymer surfaces.
Disinfectants with a high alcohol content and abrasive agents must be avoided, as they can compromise the integrity of the upholstery, cause microcracks and accelerate material ageing. All contact surfaces should be cleaned, including the upholstery, armrests, foot controls and control panels.
Which mechanical and electrical components should be inspected regularly by the user?
Our Namrol chairs are fitted with Linak motors, which are designed to be completely maintenance-free and do not require regular inspections by the user.
Therefore, no periodic inspection of the motors’ mechanical or electrical components is necessary.
What maintenance measures apply to foot controls and control panels?
Foot controls and control panels do not require any specific maintenance. However, it is important to avoid pulling on the connection cable and ensure that it is not run over by the wheels of the stool, as this may damage the wiring or connector.
If the system behaves abnormally—for example, if the LED indicators flash—consult the service manual and perform a reset procedure, which can often resolve minor system communication issues.

- Clean the upholstery and supports with soapy water, followed by a compatible disinfectant.
- Clean the console, foot control, control panels, trays and handles.
Weekly
- Run the height, seat, backrest and leg rests through their full range of movement, checking for any unusual noises.
- Visually inspect cables and connectors.
- Lubricate the handpiece. Never lubricate the micromotor.
Monthly
- Replace the dust extraction bag after several months of use.
- Clean the unit’s compressed-air circuits.
